Wellbeing & Community

Help and Support for Everyone
Spiritual wellbeing can mean different things to different people. For some, it might be found through mindfulness or meditation; for others, through nature, music, creativity, reflection, a sense of purpose or connection with other people. For some, it may also be connected with faith or belief. There isn’t one right way to experience it.
For me, my Christian faith has become an anchor for my own wellbeing. It gives me somewhere to turn, helps me make sense of things when life is difficult, gives me hope, purpose and perspective, and has also given me a sense of community and support.
For me, wellbeing is also about making time for the things I enjoy. I’m learning to play the guitar. I’m not very good yet, but it’s a journey I enjoy, and it gives me some respite from everyday worries. I also love travelling to beautiful places, camping and appreciating nature—stepping away from screens and the constant distractions of daily life.
All of these things contribute to my wellbeing in different ways. But for me, faith has given me something deeper—a foundation that remains when circumstances change or when the things I normally rely on aren’t enough.
I’d like to share some of what has helped me, not because I expect you simply to accept what I believe, but in the hope that, if you’re struggling, something I’ve discovered might help you too. Perhaps it will introduce you to something you haven’t considered before, or, if you already have questions or a curiosity about faith, it might simply give you the opportunity to explore a little further.
The door is open. Whether you choose to step through it is entirely up to you, I may be biased but it has helped me belong so much that I would say there is nothing to loose.

My faith has given me somewhere to turn when life feels difficult. But I also know that finding a little peace doesn’t make the bills disappear, give us a safe place to live, or take away the need for company and someone who will listen. Sometimes we need a helping hand with those things too. That’s why I’ve gathered the support below and split it into two sections. There’s a local section where you can explore support nearby, and a national section to help you find support closer to home. Whatever you believe, and whatever has brought you here, I hope you’ll find a little reassurance and a next step that feels right for you. You don’t have to work everything out on your own.
